The 520LP was sold to help save $$ for a house after Teresa and I are married in February of 2007. It resides in New York State about 15 miles from Canada and 20 miles from Vermont is very well cared for. It was hard to let it go, but sometimes we all have to do things that aren't easy.

The 520 LP tractor

The 520 was my first real experience of tractor restoration. It wasn't the first tractor I worked on but definitely was a very expensive education to say it lightly. I bought it over the internet with only one picture from near Bradford, Arkansas. Needless to say I should have listened to dad and either left it sit or sold it to some other poor soul. It would run and drive itself when I bought it but that was about it. After beginning the process of what would be over a 20 month restoration I soon came to realize just how deep that I would have to go into the tractor. The only parts that were not disassembled/ renewed/ replaced were the cam shaft & rockshaft, and differential bearings.

It's now time to sell the 520lp as my fiancée, Teresa, and I are beginning to get serious about house & property shopping. I figure that a down payment on the house is well worth the savings in interest and by the time I'm 50 maybe I'll be able to buy it back.

Below is a list of costs of the tractor through the total. I have receipts to go with the tractor along with the parts packages and boxes!

YOU CAN SEE ABOVE HOW EXPENSIVE MY EDUCATION WAS...BUT I KNOW MORE NOW THAN EVER SO I GUESS IT PAID OFF!
